IBEKOR GmbH supports you in the daily battle against corrosion: from base metal and galvanic corrosion via coating, flange and hem flanges to filiform mechanisms and creeping under paint and adhesive joints. Our focus is on robust, application- oriented protection concepts for the automotive and supply industry.

Optimising existing coating systems

In many projects a coating system is already in place – yet corrosion damage occurs or requirements increase. This is where IBEKOR comes in:

  • Coordination of pre-treatment processes with the substrate (e.g. steel, aluminium, magnesium, CFRP) including cleaning, conversion coatings and special pre-treatments.
  • Selection of suitable inorganic coatings – such as galvanic coatings, zinc and zinc alloy systems, zinc flake coatings or hot-dip galvanizing.
  • Selection and evaluation of organic coatings like e-coat (KTL), thick-film e-coat, liquid and powder coatings – always with a view to service life and cost.
  • Performance increase by targeted post-treatments (passivations, topcoats, cavity protection).
  • Identification of cost-saving potential – for example by alternative coating routes or coating of assemblies instead of single parts.
